Preparation of high quality total RNA

This protocol explains how to prepare high quality total RNA from Streptomyces strains for downstream applications including RT-PCR, qRT-PCR, RNA-Sequencing (RNA-Seq) and differential RNA (dRNA) Seq. This protocol is routinely use to prepare total RNA from S. coelicolor, S. venezuelae and S. albus strains.
