In this lab we constructed an RC circuit and using a function generator we inspected the correlation between the capacitance and the resistance, using a DAQ card and LabVIEW we were able to observe the effect of the circuit on various waves and waveforms. The goal of this lab was to show how a RC circuit can be used to make a low-pass filter which lets low frequencies pass through but dampens the amplitudes of higher frequencies (particularly ones above the cutoff frequency which is inversely proportional to resistance multiplied with capacitance).
