The goal of this experiment was to construct a RC circuit and investigate the relationship between the resistance and capacitance of the resistor and capacitor circuit and resulting frequency for the peak voltage across the resistor. The circuit was constructed on a proto board with a 0.1 µF capacitor and and 1MΩ resistor. A function generater was utilized to generate a current of varying frequencies and a DAQ was then used to measure the voltage across the resistor. The data from the DAQ was processed by a VI I created in LabView. This data file contains the data generated as well as graphs showing both voltage vs frequence and power vs frequency. The data from the DAQ was not convereted to volts but is rather still in bit format. This still enables one to view the correlation between frequency and voltage.
