Clonality assays in adrenal medullary and thyroid C-cell proliferation

This review covers the role of RET protooncogene in the pathogenesis of thyroid C-cell and adrenal medullary cells proliferative lesions and the clonal and genetic evolution of these lesions, especially emphasizing the role of other genes. These key elements contribute to the molecular progression and intralesion heterogeneity of such lesions.
