Description
Saxifrago-Poetum compressae (Kreh 1945) Genu et Leric 1957 is reported from eleven localities in Lower Silesia of south-western Poland and this is the first record of this association in our country. It belongs within the alliance Alysso-Sedion and the order Sedo-Scleranthetalia. Variability of the association is assessed using available comparative material from
Central and Western Europe. This made it possible to distinguish four subassociations on the basis of different species composition and habitat conditions. Two of these, S.-P. arrhenatheretosum and S.-P. chenopodietosum, have been recognized in Lower Silesia.
